AAA Launching World Autism Month 2016:
Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa Lights in Blue for World Autism

On the eve of World Autism Month, from the hilltop of Harissa, the statue of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa was majestically shining in blue in support of the international "Light It Up Blue" campaign to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month from March 31st until April 2nd.

Fantastic & Majestically shining in Blue by AAA to raise more ‪#‎Autism‬ ‪#‎Awareness‬ in ‪#‎Lebanon‬, Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa went Blue with the presence of Miss Lebanon Valerie Abou Chacra and the famous great artist Ghassan Saliba and lots of friends.

The statue of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa on top of an old chapel, built at the end of the 19th Century and is the most visited site in Lebanon and is visible from several miles away.

We would like to deeply thank Father Younan Obeid for his cooperation and support at Our Lady of Lebanon Sanctuary in Harissa.

One in 68 children is diagnosed with Autism, making it over 70 million people having Autism in the World, with more than 90% of Adults with Autism as unemployed or underemployed.

Autism Awareness Association’s mission is to provide information and support for families of people on the Autism Spectrum Disorder by creating the first free ONLINE AUTISM RESOURCE DIRECTORY IN LEBANON; We will seek to directly help parents by providing information and referral to therapeutic services, inclusion and information across Lebanon.
The Autism Awareness Association started offering assessment and therapy sessions. Places are limited.

Meanwhile, AAA is holding parents gathering groups to bring families together and give them a sign of solidarity and support.
